The Netbiter WS200 is a communication gateway that connects to field equipment and is suitable for wireless communication using mobile networks (GSM/GPRS) but is also often used in a buildings and factories to provide local web based monitoring and control of remote equipment by Ethernet LAN.
BUILT-IN FEATURES FOR DATA LOGGING AND ALARM MANAGEMENT
The gateway contains on board web pages to remotely monitor and control devices connected to an Ethernet LAN. The WS200 has built-in features for alarm handling, data logging and configurable web pages for monitoring and control data from remote devices.TRANSPARANT MODBUS RTU TO MODBUS TCP GATEWAY
In addition, the WS200 contains a transparent gateway between Modbus RTU (Serial) and Modbus TCP (Ethernet). A useful when connecting serial Modbus devices to supervisory SCADA tool or Ethernet based PLC’s using the existing LAN line.

How it works
The Netbiter WS200 gateways connect to any equipment which supports serial Modbus-RTU and Ethernet Modbus-TCP equipment. It is suitable for wireless communication using mobile networks (GSM/GPRS) but is also often used in a buildings and factories to provide local web based monitoring and control of remote equipment by Ethernet LAN. The inbuilt web server that is used for all configuration and data presentation is accessed via its IP address through normal web browsers. No extra Windows tools or HTML editors are needed.
What you can do!
Data logging
Data logging to onboard FLASH and web based visualization of historical data on trend graphs. Useful to detect early warnings of malfunctioning equipment. The parameters to be logged can easily be selected by the user on the built-in web pages in the gateway.
Alarm management
Alarms and events can easily be configured on the web pages to be sent by email, SMS, SNMP and Modbus TCP. Configuration of alarm conditions and whom to send the alarm is configured through the onboard web pages. All events are stored in an alarm list.
fleet management
The WS200 also has support for an external GPS receiver which makes it possible to used for applications where the geographical position is important, like rental fleets of machines etc.
Local Web based data access
The WS200 gives the user the possibility to easily read and write data to the remote equipment. Through a Modbus device template system the configuration is easy and the user can choose what data to appear on the on board web pages.
Modbus Device Templates
There are device templates for Netbiter WS200 that will make it even easier to configure it for your application. A template describes the Modbus equipment connected to the Netbiter WS200. Upload the template, set the Modbus address and you will immediately be able to show value, write to registers, trig alarms and log parameters.
You don’t have to know the actual register address, just select from a drop down box the parameter that should be used. In the Netbiter WS200 there is a built in template editor, so you easily can be build your own template for your Modbus devices. You can modify existing templates to match your needs.
