One-touch Air Pit is an advanced vacuum pickup instrument that is widely used in many industries, ranging through semiconductors, electronics, precision instrumentation, optics, clocks and watches and precious metals, etc. It is particularly powerful in the handling, inspection and assembly of parts and components and products, and is a valuable support tool in detailed manual work.
Objects can be picked up and conveyed without manual contact, so there is no danger of contaminating an item with scratches, dirt, fingerprints or soiling, and, in comparison with conventional tweezers, there is a significant reduction in operator fatigue of the eyes and fingers, and work efficiency is greatly increased. We have prepared a full lineup of tip attachments which can be replaced to match application needs.
The bending angle of air pit
Two types of Air Pit body are available: the 0° to 40° jointed type, and the 40° to 90°jointed type. Loosen the cap ring (3) and bend the tip in any desired angle and rotate the tip cap (2) 360°. To fix the position, simply tighten (3) in the desired angle / direction.
The functions of the airflow adjustment screw
You can change the air flow rate using the airflow adjustment screw (4) according to the object's weight and size. It is common to use the air pit with its screw slightly loose. When you are handling a very light and very small object, completely loosen the screw to smoothly release the object. When you handle a heavy object, tighten the screw to increase the suction force of the air pit.

Description
Factors in the selection of the tip attachment
Smooth suction and release of an object depends greatly on the hole aperture, material and shape of the tip attachment selected. Ultra-light and very small parts and components, that have almost no weight, are very difficult to release smoothly.
In such cases, a syringe-type attachment with a very small aperture should be selected, and the air volume adjustment screw fully loosened or removed altogether for the best effect.
On the other hand, when handling heavier objects, a rubber pad or spatula type attachment will allow sure suction and transport. Note that the suction strength shown in the catalogue is based on DAP-12S. Actual conditions will differ, depending upon the suction strength of the actual vacuum source, and the contours of the object being handled and its surface roughness.
Our standard attachment lineup has been enriched by the addition of PEEK made conductive tips that counter electrostatic charge and can be used safely with electronic parts and components.
From our wide ranging product offerings, select the attachment that best meets your needs to guarantee highly reliable handling.
