Condensate Drainage

The generation of compressed air is always connected with the formation of condensate. In most cases, this condensate contains oil, is contaminated with dirt particles and spreads out in the entire compressed-air system. A system problem which can result in damage and additional costs. 

The BEKOMAT drains condensate in the compressed-air system in an electronically level-controlled manner. More than 3,000,000 installations worldwide make it the industrial standard for reliable and cost-effective condensate drainage. The comprehensive product portfolio offers the optimum device for every compressor type and performance, for every system pressure, and for all operating conditions.




BEKOMAT Standard





Unnecessary costs and damage during the generation of compressed air can only be avoided in an efficient way with amount-adjusted condensate drainage. Therefore, BEKOMATcondensate drains operate with a capacitive sensor. The intelligent electronics prevent compressed-air losses and minimise the energy demand. As a result, the BEKOMAT often pays itself off within half a year already, in contrast to devices with timed drain valves.






Innovative with Service Unit





The devices of this new generation are made up of only two modules: a service unit comprising the corrosion-resistant aluminium housing together with all maintenance-relevant components, and an electronic control and sensor unit which is installed only once. Both modules are coupled via a practical snap connection. This design makes it possible to replace all parts subject to wear or requiring maintenance in one go: the old service unit is simply and quickly removed and a new, works-tested unit is fitted instead. The separation and connection of the two modules requires no tools - it''s all done in next to no time.

If the condensate from the intercoolers is not reliably drained in multistage compressors, it will reach the next compressor stage.BEKOMAT LA/LP prevents damage through "drop attacks", condensate build­up and water hammers.

Vacuum: Especially employable for condensate drainage in vacuum or pressureless systems at operating pressures from 0.1 to 1.8 bar (abs.).

Hazardous areas: Special units are also available for the application in hazardous areas (II 2G EEX ib IIB T4 / explosion class II B, temperature class T4) where ignition sources need to be prevented. Permissible fluids are ethane, methane, town gas, diesel fuel, ethylene, propane, fuel oil and compressor oil.

Condensate Separation Systems / Emulsion Splitting Plants

Modular units provide efficient oil-water separation of oil-contaminated compressed air condensate and condensate emulsion. Engineered with adaptability in mind, the QWIK-PURE® offers multiple installation possibilities to suit nearly every compressor installation.

Compressed-air condensate often consists of 99% water and 1% oil. Therefore, on-site processing of the oil-containing condensate by means of ÖWAMAT® oil-water separation systems is always more favourable than the cost-intensive disposal via specialist companies.

Stable emulsions of oil-containing condensate or industrial wastewater cannot be processed by oil-water separation systems. With BEKOSPLIT®, the independent, particularly cost-effective processing is possible and useful for every company.

Drying made-to-measure






It is particularly cost-effective to dry precisely the quantity of compressed air which the customer actually needs. However, the full saving potential can only be used when this amount of compressed air is dried exactly to the respectively required degree. With this, drying is directly geared to the application itself. What is generally required is highest reliability and immediate availability of the compressed air. This applies in equal measure to laboratory purposes, to applications in workshops or outdoors, whether mobile or stationary.

DRYPOINT® M PLUS, the all-in-one for filtration and drying

The DRYPOINT® M PLUS membrane dryer with an integrated nanofilter is the innovative solution for efficient filtration and drying in one housing. It offers reliable compressed-air drying at a constant compressed-air temperature, saves energy through low purge air demand and does not need polluting desiccants. In addition, filtration, which is directly connected ahead, prevents condensation upstream of the membrane.






Refrigerant Drying

In addition to filtration, compressed-air drying contributes significantly to an increase in process reliability. Humidity in compressed-air systems causes corrosion, and promotes the growth of micro-organisms. In individual cases, condensate emerges at the point of use - an ongoing danger for the operational flow, for example because of failing pneumatic controls, increased wear and tear or because of other disturbances in the production process.
