Quite simply, Roboactor is a technological miracle. A robotic friend who behaves so much like a real human, you almost expect to see him breathing. Roboactor was invented by former NASA and US government
robotic physicist Dr. Mark W. Tilden, who developed the principles of applied biomorphic robotics, which allow robots to behave in a more human-like way. Roboactor is the first robot to be created using these
principles - and he can be yours.
Roboactor is fully programmable via an ergonomically designed remote control. He can perform an amazing 67 pre-programmed functions, and carry them out in any combination you choose. He can pick up small objects such as cups or balls with his ribbed pronged grippers and fetch and carry them for you. He’ll dance, ’high-five’ you and perform karate kicks! The cheeky little fella even lets the odd fart out -
now that really is behaving like a human.
Roboactor is fully articulated, but what really makes him unique is his fluid biomechanical movements and pendulum walking motion. This gives his movements a flexibility that makes them seem almost human. He walks at two different speeds, and can even handle 180 degree turns! When you see him automatically
walk round obstacles (thanks to sensors in his feet), you’ll think he’s come to life. Roboactor even responds to touch and sound, as if he can feel and see you.
But probably the most amazing thing about Roboactor is that you don’t need a PC to program him, or any complex set-up at all - he’s ready to roll straight from the box, with all functions controlled by the
remote. Come with full instructions and one pick up accessory. Requires 4 x D and 3 x AA batteries.
